Over the past few months, we’ve been hard at work pushing a series of updates that bring Skydive Sim closer than ever to the real thing. From personalized avatars to new ways to record your jumps, these updates are packed with features designed to make the experience more immersive, more fun, and more aligned with real-world skydiving.
Here’s a breakdown of everything we’ve introduced.
🎥 New Recording Modes for Better Content Creation (LIV SDK)
Whether you’re training, reviewing your progression, or just sharing your jumps online, you now have three powerful recording modes:
Selfie View – Capture yourself mid-jump.
First-Person View – See exactly what you saw during the dive.
Third-Person View – A wider cinematic angle great for social clips or analysis.
Creators and coaches will especially love these — they open up a new dimension for tutorials and gameplay videos.

🧍♂️ Custom Avatars Powered by Ready Player Me
You can now bring yourself into Skydive Sim.
Our Ready Player Me integration lets you create fully custom avatars that represents you inside the simulation. This includes:
Customizable appearance
Updated harness visuals
Multiplayer support
Your custom avatar will now appear properly to other players in multiplayer sessions, making jumps feel more personal and connected.
🌐 Important Multiplayer Upgrade
We rolled out major improvements to multiplayer stability and syncing.
Please note: Older versions are no longer compatible with the current multiplayer system. To jump together, all participants need to update to the latest.
This update includes:
Better avatar syncing
Updated netcode
Consistent exit altitude sharing
Overall smoother multiplayer experience
If you're playing with friends or training partners, make sure everyone has the latest update installed.

🪂 New Freefall Maneuvers: Barrel Rolls & Back Fly
We’ve added two new body-flight capabilities to freefall:
Barrel Rolls
Back Fly
Head Down
These new maneuvers increase the realism of the experience and give you more expressive control during freefall. They’re perfect for fun jump videos or multiplayer fun.
🗺 Select Your Exit Altitude in Google Earth Scenes
Our Google Earth integration now lets you choose your exact exit altitude before each jump.
This gives you much more flexibility and realism — whether you’re planning a hop-and-pop, a tracking jump, a high-altitude skydive, or a base jump.
Wrapping Up
Skydive Sim continues to evolve with every update, and your feedback plays a huge part in shaping where we take it next. Whether you’re here to explore new locations or just enjoy the thrill of flight, we hope these features make your time in the simulator more immersive and rewarding.
More updates are already in the pipeline — stay tuned, and as always…
Blue skies! 🪂✨
