Do I need a VR Headset to play?

You can play in both VR and non-VR (Steam only) using a gaming PC. However, we recommend playing with a VR headset for the best experience.

I don't have a VR headset, which one do you recommend?

Accepted Answer

At this time the best headset would be a Meta Quest 3 or 3S. They are both all-in-one VR headsets and you can play without the need of a gaming PC.

Can Skydive Sim replace traditional skydive training?

Accepted Answer

No. Skydive Sim was created as a game. However, your instructor can choose to use it as a supplemental tool for training if they see it fits their needs. Always follow your instructor's guidance for actual skydiving.

Can my Dropzone be added to Skydive Sim?

With our integration of Google Earth to Skydive Sim, you can easily search and jump over any place in the world.

How can I reset my view in VR?

Accepted Answer

To reset the view, press and hold the Oculus button on the right controller while looking straight forward. (Meta Quest Only) For other headsets, please follow the headset reset view instructions.

Can I reset the Altimeter?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Press the right joystick down to reset the altimeter in Google Earth scenes. Because terrain height can vary, the altitude may be inaccurate at spawn. For best results, reset the altimeter above your intended landing area while in freefall or under canopy.

The VR controls are behaving differently. What can I do?

If you are having trouble with controllers and they are not behaving as they did before, please press the "Default Settings" button at the bottom of the options menu.
If you are still having issues, please try rebooting your goggles.

What should I do if the game freezes or crashes?

Accepted Answer

Try pressing the Oculus button on the right controller. If the problem persists, try restarting your headset.
We have also heard from users that Quest Game Optimizer causes Skydive Sim to crash. If you have Quest Game Optimizer on, please turn it off and try again.
