SkydiveSim- Skydive Simulator! Predictive Landing Assist is the latest feature added to SkydiveSim. This feature is based on the teachings of real-world skydiving where skydivers are thought to look ahead while under canopy to find a spot on the ground that is not moving up or down and that will be where they land if no other input is given. This is a great way to calculate where you land and SkydiveSim's latest update uses this same technique to help calculate the landing spot. This can also help skydivers develop an eye quicker for finding this spot. (Always follow your instructor's advice regarding real-world skydiving.) SkydiveSim- Skydive Simulator! This video explains the canopy section of the tutorial in SkydiveSim. One of the end-users of SkydiveSim reached out to me and said they could not complete the canopy ring challenge of the tutorial. After discussing the issue with them I realized this might affect others so I created this video to show how to avoid the same issue. I also show a trick on how to bypass the freefall portion of the tutorial and go straight to the canopy portion. In this video, I reference another video about setting up a physical toggle system to make SkydiveSim feel more real by adding resistance when you are pulling on the toggles. This is my toggle setup for SkydiveSim to give it more realism under canopy flight by adding a bungee system to add resistance when we pull on the toggles. It is a simple way to feel like you're flying under canopy and giving real-world input. IMPORTANT: If you set up a system like this, make sure you secure the bungees to the studs in the ceiling. If they are not properly secured, they may detach and hit you in the head and cause SERIOUS INJURY. IF YOU AREN'T SURE HOW TO SECURE THEM PROPERLY PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS YOURSELF. In this video I show the new multiplayer features in SkydiveSim. We've made it a lot easier to connect and find others to virtually skydive with. You can now setup a room and it will show in a dropdown menu to others. If you choose public anyone can join the jump. If you choose private only people with the correct password can join your jump. Also the host will now set the wind direction and wind speed so anyone that joins will inherit those properties.
