Build & Save Canopy Presets with Automatic Wing Loading in Skydive Sim

We’ve redesigned the Skydive Sim Options menu with a cleaner, more modern interface—and along with the new look comes a major improvement to how you set up and manage your canopy.

Everything Flight-Related in One Place

The redesigned Options menu still includes the settings you’re familiar with, but we’ve moved all of the canopy physics and configuration options into their own dedicated Flight tab.

Previously, some of the more advanced realistic canopy settings could be easy to miss. Now, canopy selection, physics, custom setups, and saved presets are all together in one place, making them much easier to find and use.

Choose a Preset—or Build Your Own Canopy

The existing canopy presets are still available:

• Beginner

• Intermediate

• Advanced

• Expert

But we’re encouraging users to try the newer Realistic Canopy system, which lets you create a canopy setup based on your own specifications.

Start by selecting a canopy category—Student, Intermediate, or Advanced—then enter your:

• Body weight

• Gear weight

• Canopy size

Skydive Sim automatically calculates your exit weight and wing loading, giving you an easy way to create a canopy configuration that more closely represents the setup you want to fly.

Save Your Own Canopy Presets

Once you have a setup you like, you can save it as your own preset.

Just select Save Preset, give the configuration a name, and it becomes available in your saved canopy list. You can create multiple setups and quickly switch between them whenever you want to fly something different.

This makes it easy to experiment with different canopy sizes, wing loadings, and canopy categories without having to re-enter everything each time.

Making Realistic Canopy Flight Easier to Find

Realistic canopy customization has already been available in Skydive Sim, but we found that many users were simply missing it.

The new Flight tab solves that by putting everything directly in front of you. Whether you want to select one of our existing presets or build and save your own realistic canopy setup, it can now all be done from one dedicated menu.

The goal is simple: make Skydive Sim’s deeper canopy simulation easier to access, understand, and use.
