Introducing Skydive Sim Remote: A New Way to Share Skydive Sim

Running VR at an event takes the fun to another level — especially when everyone gets to be part of the action.

That’s why we created Skydive Sim Remote, a free companion app designed to make it easier to access, control, and reset Skydive Sim Challenge Scenes at events, boogies, demonstrations, arcades, and even when you get together with a few friends.

Cast the headset view to a TV, and everyone around can follow the action, cheer on the flyer, and be part of the experience.

With Skydive Sim Remote, an operator can control up to two VR headsets independently from a phone or tablet. Start a challenge, restart it, finish the session, change the difficulty, and get everything ready for the next person — all without having to interrupt the experience. Need to run more than two headsets — Contact us to discuss larger event and installation setups.

We’ve also added Assist Mode with Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty levels, accessible right inside the pause menu in Challenge Scenes, or by using the Remote App! Assist Mode is designed to help first-time players jump right in. On Easy, participants can enjoy the experience without having to learn the advanced Skydive Sim controls first. The game helps guide them through the course, automatically deploys the parachute when needed, and provides guidance through canopy flight and landing. Combined with Event Mode, it makes it easy to keep people moving through the experience while keeping the experience fun, approachable, and interactive.

Quick Setup

To enable Assist Mode:

1. Open a Challenge Scene from Main Menu Challenges tab.

2. Once in the scene open the Pause Menu by tapping on left controller joystick.

3. Turn on Assist Mode.

4. Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard.

To enable Event Mode:

1. Open a Challenge Scene from Main Menu Challenges tab.

2. Once in the scene open the Pause Menu by tapping on left controller joystick.

3. Turn on Event Mode. (Assist mode must be on)

4. Open Skydive Sim Remote on a phone or tablet connected to the same local Wi-Fi network.

5. Pair the headset when prompted.

For first-time players and events, we recommend using Assist Mode on Easy together with Event Mode.

Important: When Assist Mode is enabled by itself, the player will automatically walk off the platform after a few seconds, so there is no need to press the left joystick to move forward. When Event Mode is also enabled, that behavior changes: the player will remain on the lift until the operator selects Start from the Skydive Sim Remote app.

That becomes especially useful with our new wingsuit flying. In the video, I demonstrate our new wingsuit Challenge Scene, complete with on-screen flight guidance, terrain assistance, automatic deployment in Easy Mode, and canopy landing guidance.

The idea is simple: put on the headset and start flying.
